 Lake Sary-Chelek

Lake Sary-chelek(«yellow bowl») is situated at the bottom of Chatkalsk  mountain range (height is 1873 metre),it’s one of the most picturesque and fresh- water  lakes in Kirgiziya.This wonderful  lake is formed because of powerful earthquake.Water is so transparent that you can see the stones of different colours and swimming small fishes.Sary-Chelek takes the third place on depth in Central Asia.Here you can see 300 species of plants,32 species of trees,80 species of bushes,38 species of animals,157 species of birds.The greatest part of the territory is occupied by majestic mountains,these mountains seem  to be reaching the sky. In autumn the lake reminds a bowl with honey when the foliage changes on yellow colour.According to the legend ,the lake is called so thanks to beekeeper who once pouring honey in a bowl was surprised by the     beauty of colour and then he decided  to call the lake “yellow bowl”
